My Cherokee has 173,425 miles on it. I am doing a ton of work on it and a tech a a local shop told me that with as many miles as i have on it, i should change out the injectors. They are leaking a bit but i was looking through the forums here and found that most of the time, that problem can be fixed with new o-rings. Should I change my injectors now since the entire thing will be apart anyways?

You'd better have about $600 bucks to shuck out if you are gunna replace all the injectors. I would try the o-rings first.

Let us know how they go if you try them! Describe the installation and let us know about the quality of them, what they look like when you receive them.

I'm curious.

You mentioned in a different post that the injectors looked to be leaking from the middle, not from the o-rings. If that's the case then replace them. If not, then I would go for the new o-rings.

Do the injectors leak from the middle of the body if they are old??? Also, the injectors I listed in my previous reply, are they good?

you can use the mustang 5.0 injectors if you have the bosh style connector. it will bump your fuel delivery up 10% not to mention that they are a few bucks cheaper. Go on e-bay and buy them. Much cheaper that way. 600.00 jeeze. I can get the stock ones for around 60.00 each from advance auto and thay come with o-rings!

i agree to go with the 5.0 mustang injector's or just ford injectors , you can get the the same poundage as your stocker's .

injectors are not 600$ , well maybe if you got them installed . 300$ , i can pick up the ford ones for 250 $ for 8 . summit racing has good prices .

i would buy some more expensive injectors then that . 250$ for a set of 8 for a 5.0 mustang , 300$ for the Bosch ones .

injectors for a 16L volvo diesel are around 20,000 so your getting off pretty easy . even a diesel truck is a few thousand dollars .

Wow. Those injectors were great. Perfect fit. Started right up. Runs way better. Only one problem. Now my temp gauge doesn't work. Just a recap. I changed the water pump, thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, power steering pump, high pressure and return line for power steering AND the injectors. Does anyone have an idea about the temp sensor? It worked before I tore into it and I didn't mess with it at all when the Jeep was apart.

Thanks
