Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and i wanted to say that it is great! I have been learning a lot.

A year ago I bought my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V-8. It has been lifted 3" or 4" and until now I found out that this affects the front drive shaft for the 4-wheel drive. So far I have broken 2 of them without even going off-road.

The drive shaft that comes with this model is the one that have CV-joints at both ends. But I have read that U-joints are stronger and that it is better is I make the conversion.

Do you guys have any suggestions? Where do I start? What shaft is the best? Should I use my old shaft? What is the best to do if I have my Jeep lifted? (I live in Austin, TX)

I really don't know too much about it. I've been reading a lot but I quite haven't find the exact solution.

Thank you so much! I don't want to keep running my Jeep without a shaft and I don't want to be broken in a month like my past one.
