Hi folks,

Having discovered that the bottom of my trusty old XJ is literally dropping out (the frame rails are holding, but I think it is mostly the carpet that is keeping the floor up), I decided it was time for a change. I have found a '93 ZJ which I think I can bargain down to a very good price. It's the same model year as my XJ, but I have been unable to find any rust in the ZJ at all!

So, can you tell me of any known trouble spots I should check, particularly for rust?

It's a 4.0L A/T Laredo with the 231 transfer case, by the way. It has a tow hitch, but I'm not sure whether that is aftermarket or if it has the factory tow package.

So far, the only rust I've encountered with my 94, is on the rocker panels.

Thanks, I will doublecheck there when I pick it up tomorrow. I went ahead and paid a deposit on it today. Oh, and it does have the factory tow package, including tranny cooler and high temperature power steering components. Very Happy

How is the exhaust manifold? On the 93 ZJs, those were/are notorious for cracking early on.
