I been practicing a little bit and think I'm starting to get the hang of it. I find that holding the front brake and pulling the throttle is a bit awkward but I'm a pretty determined person. I think I've got the friction zone figured out now, now that I'm feel more in tune wit the bike I've been able to notice whats going on with the clutch so hopefully I will start to get the hang of it. If the weather holds out on Saturday I've got someone riding to work with me so that will be my first time out on the real road. I'm just a little worried about all the other people. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the help guys and if I live past Saturday I will let you know how things go.

Well, I took the MSC at the local harley shop a few weeks ago and Hutch, you were right, smartest thing I've ever done. Did loads for confidence and knowledge. After I took the course I went for my first real ride outside my neighborhood and it was awesome. So much easier since I took the class. Now I can actually ride around a little bit instead of just going place to place in the shortest line possible.

Maybe I can get some pictures of me actually riding up sometime soon. I don't think any streams will be involved but I kinda like it that way right now.

I agree with hutchman ive been riding 45 years and broken almost as many bones as Evil knieval did. My current street bikes are a yamaha fz1 and a suzuki hayabusa. I got into the jeeps because the wife wont ride she likes to go slow and look at nature so jeeping was a natural.
be safe and if you havent taken one take the MSF riders course.
