Hi,

On my 1990 Cherokee, my coolant bottle caps will not stay tight. The threads on the bottle act like they are stripped or too small. I have tried 2 bottles and 4 caps...tired of wasting money on a lousy closed system.

Any of you ever heard of too high pressure in the coolant system?

I bought a radiator for it a couple years ago before I knew to convert it to open so now I am looking for a radiator cap housing that will slip into the radiator hose.

Someone said Summitt sold one but I cannot find it on their site.

Any help y'all might have will be appreciated. I am tired of leaking coolant.

I found them in less than a minute....search is your friend. Wink

Radiator Hose Fillers at Summit racing

If that link doesn't work, just do a search on "Radiator Hose Fillers". They have 10 or 11 different ones.

Phantum,

Do you think it would work just as well in a heater hose as compared to the top radiator hose?

I can place it higher if a heater hose is OK.
Thanks

It should go in the upper radiator hose, as close to the radiator as possible.

91 Cherokee, you should also get a new tank. I have a 1990 too and my tank was leaking. They are only $20 and this place sends them next day. http://www.drautoparts.com/items/item.aspx?itemid=9328570
