Enough, no personal attacks. And yes, this argument has been going on since the beginning of time.

That has been all over this and other sites......

It is basically a piece of window screen with a gauze filter that goes over the end of the tailpipe. It is truly "snake oil."

I know there was one here several months ago, but I can't find it. Try this link from L4J. It is very entertaining.......

well the only reason i was thinking about the first one was because it says that it can be converted to a snorkel... i had gotten water in the air intake of my last jeep Sad is there a better way of preventing water from getting into the air intake?

Stay out of water. That's the better way.

You passed the test. That's the whole point of these "miracle" MPG and HP gains. You may have small MPG gains. Nothing that is worthwhile. You may have small HP and torque increases. Again, nothing worthwhile. A big negative for you would be that they actually make your engine more susceptible to water getting in. The horn on the front of the stock airbox actually works to keep water out.

There are always a few adamant supporters of CAI and TBS. For a Jeep, they are purely a waste of money. About the only good thing is they get rid of the huge stock airbox and free up some space under the hood. Economically speaking, a CAI is a poor choice to spend your money.

I've BTDT and wasted my money.

I personally did both exhaust and intake and had noticeable increase in low end torque. I have no regrets on spending the money. But I will say if you do one you need to do the other. Doesn't do any good to take in more air if you can't let it out and visa-versa. Just my two cents thats all. The good thing about Jeeps is there are no wrong answers you can do what ever you want to just about everything boils down to opinion.
