Just pull the key half way out, and the chiming will stop.

The car does not have a aftermarket alarm, it only sounds if the key is in the ignintion and the doors are open or if you havent actually started the car, i know if i simply take the keys out that it will stop, but some times it is more convenient to have the keys in the ignition before the car has actually been started.

Then close the door.

I know your torment, removing the chimer is the first thing to my TJ.
The chimer is located on the back side of the dash pod. To get to it you have to take your whole dash apart and remove the pod. If I remember the chimer is rectangular with a hole off to one side and looks like it pulls out of the socket. It's not that hard to do, just take your time and remember witch screws go where, some parts of the dash have "snap in" type retainers witch make removal and replacement easy.

Good luck
