Yes, the wheel and drive shaft (it appears to have separated ) flew out and right at splines. It landed about 6-8 feet downhill from JEEP.
Goodbye to Chrysler 8.25 (27 Spline) and Hello to Turtle's D44. That sounds easy but now to arrange pickup and installation.
Turtle, where are you (it) located? When can I get it?
I am aiming to be ready for Poker Run and will not be going to Gore. _________________

I got a truck if you need a way to get it from A to B, but depending on where A and B are it may not make sense. |

Thanks but I have a 6x10 garden trailer and a larger trailer too that I can pick it up with.
My 99 Explorer can tow the big trailer with an axle on it just don't think its up to towing my JEEP on it. _________________

Give him some time Mark...we call him Turtle for a reason. If he's typing his response now, it might (key word) get posted sometime tomorrow.
Sean, how does a speed run sound for sometime in July? _________________

I was responding to Sean's question about offering a truck.
He will respond when he wants his money! _________________

Lets do a speed run after I get my Jeep back, I'll need to test it out anyway. I also have to learn how to work all of these levers

I don't know, it shouldn't be too long, they were working on the new skid plate and they should need to add some length to the rear drive shaft. Hopefully the front driveshaft doesn't need to be worked on. _________________ DEFINITION OF A VETERAN A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." |

I'm in Richmond, right beside Chippenham Hospital. The axle is just down the road in Midlothian and it takes a strong back to lift that puppy, but I'm sure you and I can get it. _________________

If I'm not working on one of the ten days a month that I have to work, I can take a nice bike ride and meet you there to give you a hand. _________________ DEFINITION OF A VETERAN A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." |
