Well after months maybe even a year of waiting the time has come. Between searching multiple forums and word of mouth SOA is honestly the best option to go. Between saving money and getting 6" of lift for near to nothing because of companies charging an arm and a leg for a "bolt on kit".
Ok, I have about a grand to spend total and I need that to include the cost of parts needed to do the conversion and wheels, I already have a set of 33's that I plan on running. I need to know what is honestly needed to complete such a conversion. I know I will have to regear for the fact I have the 2.5L and the loss of power is going to be greatly effected. I talked to a guy at the local 4 Wheel Parts and he said go with 4.88, but I really don't know anything about gearing... |

If you are already runnging 33's then going SOA will not affect that, a regear along could run you close to a $1000. A truely done SOA, with ds's, traction bars, axles (do you want to spend the $ and do it 1/2 assed) can run ALOT.
If you know what you are doing and do it ALL yourself, you can keep with in budget, but be warned you are opening a can of worms by going soa, unless you do it right. _________________ Fabricator for hire.... contact me for info |
