The purpose is to get better light when opening the door, without spending allot of money.

1. remove the housing from the door, acquire 10mm LED with resistor (for 12V)(purchased on EBay), rubber grommet and silicone if needed. remember where the hot wire (positive) is located

2. remove bulb holder and insert rubber grommet.

3. test fit LED into grommet, cut wires to proper length.

4.remove leads from housing, solder wires to the metal leads, remembering which side is positive. If solder does not take drill a small hole loop wire thru it and then solder.

5. replace leads, might have to trim connection cover for proper fit

6. connect to a 12V source and check proper function.

7. reinstall.
