I have a 1993 jeep Cherokee and i had it now for 3 years and i want to fix this whine noise that is coming from the front diff. I have been around cars my whole life so i am not a rookie. last night i throw a new t-case in her and a 2" lift. I thought the chain was the noise so i rebuild the t-case and re installed it the noise was still there o i was mad as hell but it was a fun project. But i need a write up and pictures on how to rebuild the front diff and the tools ill need. This noise is killing me and i need to fix it. if there is just one part i can replace instead of rebuilding the whole thing please tell me and explain how to do it in detail
Thanks Guys

Before you tear into the front diff, make sure it's not the front driveshaft. The double cardan joint has a centering yoke in the middle, these are notorious for making a whining noise and driving people crazy. Remove the driveshaft and take the Jeep for a ride. _________________

| The whining noise only comes when the 4Wheel drive is engaged so even if i did take the drive axel out the fluid would go every were when i took it for a ride. When the jeep is in 2 wheel drive no sound what so every but as soon as i put in 4 wheel the whining comes and gets louder as i go faster. |
