I was driving down the freeway the other day when i lost throttle response and it started to backfire. when i stoped on the shoulder it died and then took a few tries to start again and it even dieseled for a sec. once i got to crusing speed again it repeted the last episode. this time i had to get towed. no engine warning light but i did try to pull codes but i couldn't get it to flash. on off 3 times in 5 sec. rite? i did find that there is no spark to the plugs, but there was spark leaving the coil and plenty of it. i tested the coil its good. i looked inside the cap and checked the rotor but it all looked fine just a little corrosion i just tuned her up in November. timing chain? pick-up coil? control module? poke
