I have a 96 XJ 4x4 with 300K plus miles I use for a rural mail route. Want to get another engine to rebuild before this one spins bearing and puts me out of work for week or two. Found 97 ZJ 4.0 with unknown miles for $200 plus freight. Anybody know if these 4.0L engines are interchangeable? Found XJ 4.0 for $450 + freight. Both engines are 6-242 4.0L VIN S.
