Troy, just got a reply back from the guy with the seats. No dice. He's already gotten rid of them. I'll keep my eyes open though. I know a couple more of the guys I wheel with are eyeing up aftermarket seats.

EDIT: Some more info he provided...

Here is something we found out that is weird and funny

the Rubicon brackets bolt directly into the tub of a 97-02 jeep

The Rubicon seats, however, will not fit, short of modification, on a 97-02 bracket
Yet
they are a perfect fit on an older style bracket that comes in the CJ7s which I believe are identical to the Yjs

Strange stuff

That'd be great if you could keep an eye out - and the seat thing is quite strange, but hey, it's Jeep, right? Wink

Broke down and got some Bestop seats. I already had the passenger side out - so no problems there. Followed the directions for the driver's side (which I didn't for the passenger side Wink ) until I was so frustrated that I decided to forge ahead on my own. I managed to break one of the nuts that holds the seat down. As soon as that happens, just cut it off and make a trip to the hardware store to save yourself some grief. Anyway, it all turned out well. Wink

Good job, now lets see some pics, and to think you don't have to worry about some one else's sex juice on your seats since you bought brand new. rofl

You want pics? Well, I started out taking them but got so frustrated that the camera nearly ended up being thrown in the neighbor's yard. It looks like when the nut was welded on, it was also welded to the bolt. Rolling Eyes
Also, don't try this at home when it's 100 degrees - you'll end up needing skin grafts. Wink

Trust me, Corey and I went through this with my seats. I think chrysler thought it would be funny to use a different size nut and bolt on each seat. That and Corey's driveway ate one of the bolts. Corey's drive way is known for eating a lot of things Mr. Green

Finally got everything finished and got the jeep running so I could actually see if the seats were comfortable. Not quite what I expected but a thousand times better than the stock seats. An added bonus, one of the squeeks that I've been unable to find is gone. Mr. Green
