Yeah, the silver bars have a story:

Brandy installed my basic Tennessee offroad cage. Needed to paint it to keep it from rusting. Silver spraypaint is right there and handy, soooo... poof. It is silver. Fast forward a couple of months. Brian does all the work to my cage, and is ready to paint it. Sees that it was painted silver. Said to himself "I hope silver was a choice and not just what they had at the time." and painted all the stuff silver again.

Oh well. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but I actually like the way it looks. Sometimes accidents are happy.

I've known Bryan for about 7 years now. He did the body lift on my TJ several years ago when he was building stuff out of his parents' garage. He later did the lift on my XJ when he was working at a local shop near my house. It's awesome he's got his own shop now. He's a master fabricator that's for sure.

I love the way the spare is mounted Mr. Green

I'll get a good shot in the day tomorrow.

unfortunatly... The cage isn't really my work. THe front hoop, dash bar, and four avrhead spreaders were a kit. Otter did all the real work.... the spare mount, diaganal behind the seats, gussets in the four corners, door and foot bars, and the whole realy cool front bumper, winch plate, boner bar and fender bars.

Is the tube above the fenders just bolted to the body, or is there an inner plate with more support? Just thinking that might do some body damage of its own if pushed up against a rock or tree.

The tube goes to a plate on the outside of the body, which bolts through the body, and to another plate inside the body. It is nice, and nice work by otter. In other words, this isn't "some white trash poprive to the sheetmetal deal". Have a little class, please. Wink
