I would think that it would be a bad idea, but grade 8 bolts are the only ones that you should use.

As bumpstops, hockey pucks are OK...I don't thimk they would work as a BL though. Then again, I have never done a BL, what are the spacers normally made out of, aluminum? That's what they are made out of on our t-case drop...

Like Keith said though...using nothing but grade 8 bolts.

Aluminum or plastic usually.

The thing with an NHL BL is that the rubber in the pucks will dry out eventually and start to dry rot. Not to mention, most communist...err...civilized...states like PA probably wouldn't pass you come inspection time.

well thats not really a problem in the great state of kentucky, i guess i could also try boat rollers cut up, i doubt they would rot. i just need to go find a marine store. I just got 33's and they are rubbing like a bastard in the back so i need to do something quick before i go to school.

Hmmmmm hocky puck lifts!?!?

Hockey pucks are great for hocky, but bad for lifts. Profesional made BL's can be done for @ $75 bucks for the complete kit and it will have the proper parts, btw, they dont include hocky pucks.

The pucks are extreamly rugged, but dont hold up well in the long run when subjected to the elements.

Find yourself a machine shop and make nice. DirtyRed has the hook up and has had 3 or 4 BL's made for less than $20 apiece from the same crap that daystar uses. All it takes is measurements and they can machine anything about of poly. After that supply your own grade 8's and you're straight. PM him and he may still have the measurements needed.
