Rolled the Wrangler this last weekend at Windrock on trail 21, I think. Put it on her side for some time ans slid until I could get the trires to grab, uprighting her again.

Anyway, I'm needing to replace the factory top now. Do the Best Top folks make a good replacement? I like the factory top but it's got holes now. Stayed up darn near to 3 in the morn sewning and making repairs in case it rained on my way home, which it did in buckets.

Can the bows be replaced sperately or do I need to order the whole set?

I'm very happy with my Replace A Top. There are 2 bows - if you can find some junkyard ones or on ebay - it'll probably save you some $$$. Any other damage?

Passenger fender and side cowling took a good hit. Door hinges don't align the door with the opening now. Given the circumstances, I came through pretty good. Wife was riding with me at the time, boy I was more worried for her than anything else. She keep all her body parts in the tub during the event so other than gettin scared, shes fine too.

Have been contemplating building up, nows the time I guess.

Glad to hear everyone is okay, sorry about the jeep man, that really sucks. I got a besttop Replace a Top (RAT) I like it alot. My only complaint is that whenever it rains it holds a small puddle and gets me wet every time I try to get in. Other than that I love it. Real easy to put on. Corey and I put it on in 30 minutes, one project my jeep actually liked and let us work with out problems.

That's what mine's made of - made a huge difference. Here's a little review I wrote on mine. Shop around a bit and you can get a decent price. Bestop Buys and Desert Rat have pretty good prices sometimes. Wink

Yah, glad ya's are okay. I have a Sailcloth top too from Bestop, love it, love it, love it. Sold my hardtop and only run that now. Well worth the money spent. Like the Codester said, check junkyards or ebay or even different for sale forums to get a deal on the hardware. The guy at the dealers parts counter will actually go 'cha-ching' if ya walk in there and order it Mr. Green . I've seen ads to for people selling the whole OEM setup, top, hardware, bells, whistles. Keep in mind that 97-00 are regular material, 01 and up are sailcloth, and I'm not sure what's involved in retrofitting a 03 and up top onto a 02 and earlier. Hope that made sense. Like ya seem to agree though, for a TJ, the factory setup is the best top option out there.
