I am gathering the pics of my door hacking so I can do a writeup..
So... Here goes///

Here is my original Crappy MS Paint attempt at seeing what it will look like..

Here is me making the initial cut...

You may notice that its dark.. This is a very important step in hacking of a perfectly good vehicle.. You have to spend the day drinking and then cut real fast in the dark... Mr. Green That way you are to drunk to care and when you sober up you dont have a choice... rofl

Here is the morning after..

Notice how I left sections so that It could be bent over and welded to itself.

Here is a pic of the pieces of sheet metal that I welded in place to fill the cut out section..Kris is grinding the welds and prepping for the body work..

Passenger door cut as well..

Passenger door finish welded and first coat of body filler on..

Drivers door finish welded but no body work done yet..

Door cross bar is removable .. Here is a pic with the drivers bar out..

First coat of mud on drivers door..

Passenger door primed..

I will post more as I get farther along...

Carl

I'm doing that to a set of doors for my K5. I think the wife would kill me if I tried to do that on the Grand. Looks good though. Mr. Green

Looks great but I gotta ask, it's killing me.... Mr. Green

Why not just yank the doors entirely like you did before?

And WTF happened to these?

Later Carl...

I have given some thought to trying to figure out a way to run right up the middle of the hood But Not sure how it will work out.. I am doing a roll cage by the end of the year and then snorkle is next so I have some time to figure it out... Hang around and I will let you know what I am doing.. Mr. Green

It's simple just close your eyes and say, "Daddy doesn't love you anymore and you can't go wheeling" Finger rofl Wink Make sure you wear earplugs and keep them in to for when the wifey yells at you!
