gonna have to change the door latch

since you can't open the door, you'll probably have to unbolt the seat on that side (you can try skipping this and moving onto pulling the door panel, but the seat may have to come out)...two bolts per piece (I'm assuming you have the 60/40 split rear seat). Once you have the seat removed from that side, undo the screws from the door panel...should be one in the door-latch-pull and one in the door-pull "cup". Once you have these out, you'll be able to pull the panel off...just pull (being careful with the interior door latch handle...dont want to break that off). There should be 6 door retainer clips (if you break a few, don't really worry about it, they're cheap (less than a dollar for a couple in a package), and can be picked up at the local car parts store. Once the door panel is off, you can get to the door latch switch...just disconnect it from the motor, and pull the rod toward the nose of the truck to open the door. Once you have it open, you can replace the latch (I don't know the part number for the motor for a ZJ...for the WJ it's 55135 620AB (right) 55135 621AB (left).

edit - the part you need is $70.xx for a ZJ, and $45-ish for the WJ from http://www.tenaflyjeepmoparparts.com/sercolpar.html (just go through the "Service Repair Parts On-Line Catalog" link and plug in your info....will be under mechanical/body hardware/door/front\rear/lock...
