Sad Hi, I have just bought a 2000 jeep cherokee 2 dr. from my employer. I am a courier and this jeep has 300,000 miles on it. Most by me. My problem is, I was involved in a small fender bender and since then my dash lights, rear wiper motor and rear hatch light quit working. The hatch light works when I open the front door or turn the switch knob counter clockwise. The mileage travel numbers are lighted, but that is all. I checked the fuses in the right kickpad area, but none seemed to be blown. Is there somewhere else I should be looking. Also, my XJ is a plain jane. Is there somewhere I can find side mouldings etc. for the sport. Thanks. Pianoman[/b]

Holy Smokes !! 300,000 in 4 short years.... Thats incredible!
As far as the wiring goes, if the fender bender was on the rear passenger side then take the rear panel out that is right below the window, and look up in and around there sort of right by the tailight... there are some wiring harnesses in there that may have become damaged or pulled apart. If not check on the drivers side too and see if anything over there is jacked up. It may be something simple like a wire pulled out or slightly pinched. What I have done before is turn the Jeep on and turn on the accessory (like the rear wiper) and mess with the harnesses to see if it works when you move the wires with your hand. You be suprised!
Good luck - Corey XJ
