At road pressures, yes. When you go off road however, you will not be able to air down as far because you'll run a higher risk of popping a bead, damaging the rim, etc. 15"x10" rims would work better with tires that are 12.5" wide and up.

General rule of thumb...keep your rim width 2" - 3" or so narrower than then the tire width. If you go too wide on the tire, the Jeep will float all over the place on the road...but offroad you'll be able to run single digit pressures. The flip side is if you go to wide on the rim, it will stick on road, but as soon as you air down, the tire does not have enough overhang to keep it on the rim.

For a 10.5" or 11.5" wide tire, I would stick to a 15"x8" rim. It will give you the best of both worlds...good onroad handling at full pressures and good airdown capability when offroad.

I have a 15x8 rim and I run my 33's at 10-13 psi off road. With out bead locks I wouldn't feel safe going any lower than 10. Of course a guy that Corey and I wheeled with ran 3 psi with his 33's on 15 x 8, and his tire came off.

Huey, look in your local classified and local ebay for tires and wheels. Local to me there are S loads of cheap cheap prices. You might find 5 mud tires with backspaced wheels for $200, that will help alot.
I ran Hitech retreads for a few years when my XJ was a daily driver with no problems, and I traded up to end up with the TSLs I have no for nothing more than mounting cost. If you havent noticed, tires is where I cut corners Wink

On airing down, never did anything for me or the guys in our club down here, we were getting so much trash and flats by airing down that I wouldnt recommend it, but then again, im in swampville USA Mr. Green

We will go ahead and explain the process of airing down to you. Some guys do it some don't. Here's how it works, think of your tire as a foot, the wider the foot is the better traction you'll gain in sloppy conditions. So when you air down your tires it allows more tread to contact the surface giving you better traction. It also allows your tire to become more flexiable so that it doesn't get punctured on rocks or any other object, but that is not always the case.

Good point guys...

It all depends on the terrain. For doing a lot of mudding, airing down is not that necessary or even desirable. For doing very rough terrain or rockcrawling, having the tire aired down not only gives much more of a contact patch with ground, but helps the tire grip onto objects since it is much more flexable.

Even though it says they are for CJ's, they have the same lug pattern...they'll fit.

The cap is the center cap shown in the middle of the wheel...

When you order the wheel, you'll need to find out what size (diameter) caps you'll need. They run between $7 and $10 apiece.

I didn't order the caps because they are chrome. I don't like a lot of chrome. "Chrome don't get ya' home"

Remember that.....

You can get caps in pretty much any color...you just have to hunt around a little more.

IMO, the black wheels actually look good with the crome cap...

Point taken on the chrizzome... I just hate it when a Jeep is all bling and no zing. Like the "model" jeeps on catalog covers that are buried in chrome... UGH!

Would 33" Tires work on a 4" lift if cut out fenders were involved?
