im new to the forums and also new to the jeep world so please bear with me. i have a 1995 xj 5 speed 4x4. want to lift it but not sure what brand or size to go. i have read a lot of the info here and still not sure what i want to do. would like to run 33s but dont want to compromise road ride too much . would 31s or 32s look good and fit with rubicons 3.5 lift? please help!

If you want to run 33's, you will need a minimum of 5" of lift and fender trimming. One of the the RE 5.5" kits would be a good choice, but keep in mind that you will need a SYE and new rear driveshaft at that height.

To run 31's, the RE 3.5" lift will work nicely...but you may have to trim the fenders, depending on the backspacing of the wheels. You could prolly squeeze 32's under it...but unless you really extend your bumpstops, expect it to rub. At 3.5" you shoiuld be able to get away with a t-case drop to straighten out the driveline angles.

My advice on Rusty's is to stay away from his stuff. I've never run it myself, but I've heard more bad than good when it comes to his lifts.

haven't had any probs with rusty's 405, except trackbar bracket had to be ground down to extend properly without binding... rear lasted 3 years with hard use.... other than that, everything worked fine for me, front end still at 5 inches, rear's been fully replaced, but haven't had any bad issues just had to take my time and make a couple adjustments to the trackbar setup, but nothing that caused any headaches or depression... i guess i'm the lucky one.... anything can go wrong at any moment in life...
