im wondering if the s10 leafs will raise my xj ,how much,will i have to center my axle ect... ive never done this b4 on a jeep especially doing a swap.. Confused an i dont want to screw this up because it is a daily runner . i will be replaceing the front spacers with the amount needed till i can get newer coils any info on this mod ? thanks ~ phil pull hair

Vic will confirm this, cause he's done it...but the s10 leafs will give you approximatley 3" of lift in the rear. You won't have to re-center the rear axle, but you may have to shim it and/or do a t-case drop to straingten out the driveline angles.

Yes 3" no problem. Used a set from a 86 2WD drive, still holding strong!! I would do a t-case drop. Now I did run mine with out a t-case drop for awhile with no problems, but better be safe than sorry Mr. Green I also used a couple of stock springs too, for a little better boost with my R.E. shackle to get a good 5" lift.

what should i use to lift the front? i was thinking on zj front coil's an spacers what do you think guys? Mr. Green and what do you mean by shimming it? j/w never did that b4 thanks Embarassed

You can look for a good set of used coils like I did, or buy a new set. You can also use some f-series Ford front springs too for about 3?? Let me look for you..... Give me a day?? Unless anyone else remembers the F-?? coil springs work??

ok man thanks for helping...im gonna get them s10 springs next week an im gonna wate till i got everything to do it right i never new f series would fit in a eep Shocked lol but if it will work ill take pics when it happinsan im lookin at a tcase drop to 1 inch right? will 2 inch spacers work up front for now if i cant find springs? an swap later?let me know an thanks vic headbang

i made my t/c drop out of some alluminum spacers i got from my work an some spare bolts.... an i got 3 an 1/4 inch of lift out of the rear leafs i got some pics but dont know how to post em so if anyone knows how to ill send em or try to post em Finger

you can use rear dakota leaves to will lift an xj about 4 inches in the rear

I used S-10 leafs as well, with no other mods..

didn't like though. was a stiffer ride. so I just had my stock leafs redone to give me what I wanted, plus the smooth ride..

thats kool i added the 3 leafs from the s10 an got about 3 an 1/4 out of it .... stiffer yes but i wanted it that way so when i put weight on the a$$ end of it it would not rub on the tires ect.. front i put 98 i think zj coils with some home made spacers i made headbang
