I hope they build it I'll trade my rice burner in a second for one. The 4 cylinder turbo diesel has great torque (295 ft lbs @ 1800 rpms) not to shabby for a 4 cylinder. For my use Gladiator would be great on beaches when I'm surf fishing. Fuel mileage from diesel is also a great selling point.
Now getting DC/Jeep Div. to build them. Finger
I am so glad that they brought back the Gladiator Jeeps. I have 2 of them and I am very happy with them. Especially glad they put the hemi in them. I am a Chrysler fan too.
NO HEMI FOR THE GLADIATOR.

The picture was a mistake. The 6.1L hemi is for the chrysler firepower. DCX media center made a picture mistake and put it with the gladiator press release instead of the chrysler firepower.
Apparently jeep horizons didn't catch the mistake when they downloaded the pressrelease.
If it goes into production. I assume it will share the same motors as the liberty. 3.7L V-6 and VM 2.8Lcrd.
It's only a mid size truck like the dakota. The gladiator of the '60's is a full size truck like the dodge 1500,2500.

Good eye and it's been fixed. Since it's only a concept at this point, who knows what they'll end up putting into it. But, since everybody seems to wet their pants over a hemi, it wouldn't surprise me if they eventually used it for marketing purposes. Again who knows - it's a concept at this point.

My best guess would be 3 engine options, 2.8 turbo diesel. 3.7V6 and maybe the 4.7V8. I can't see them putting Hemi in this truck since it's a
medium size. At 4100 lbs the 4.7 would move it pretty good. But it's all speculation till we see if they build it. Keeping my fingers crossed.[siz Wink e=18]
