I'm with Todd. I grew up in NY and lived in Boston for 4 years (college). It ain't snow until at least a foot of the stuff hits the ground.

Down here a 1/2 inch falls and people flip out. We got like an inch on Wed...the schools around here haven't been open since (no joke)...it's ridiculous. Rolling Eyes

Looking like 5-13 inches of the white stuff tomorrow... WOO HOO! Time to go play!

Do any of you guys volunteer for your local hospitals as an emergency driver? I am working with 15+ local hospitals and over 150 registered 4wd drive capable drivers up here in Northern VA. Its lots of fun, and serves the community too. At the very least, it gives us a valid reason to play in the snow! Smile

Is anyone else on here going to be hit w/ this storm?

Just curious, I was just watching the news and all the people crashing into each other. Do any of the states require snow chains/snow tires? And does anybody use them?

You don't need them. The general consensus seems to be that as long as you have four wheel drive or some variation of all-wheel drive, you can drive like Wile E. Coyote in the Acme IndestructoBall Rolling Eyes . It takes years of hard practice to become this bitter flipoff agree .

OK - Im very dissapointed, we only got maybe 3-4 inches around here at best. It was enough to go play in for a bit, but then they cleared the roads too quick. I pulled one explorer out of the embankment on 495 and watched a pathfinder blow by me at 45/50 and then bounce of the concrete barrier wall and straight across into the other side of the road.

You konw what I hate about va though? We took my buddies kids to the NOVA Community College over in Fairfax to go sledding. There was probably around 50-75 kids/adults there. We where there not even 10 min when the police showed up, and kicked everyone out. They wherent even nice about, what jack a$$'s they where about it.

Oh well, so much for being able to let kids be kids around here.
