I just can't imagine the amount of force that the water hit the coast with. They say it was moving underwater at 300+ mph. I mean, it had to be really something to wipe the soil completly clean like that. I really hope they get through it and may God bless them all, living and deceased.
Sad
Now, supposedly this was taken by construction workers high up in a building that was not damaged that bad.

Looks a bit photochoppish. I don't believe the waves were as tall as they are off the shore in that pic. I seem to remember something like 25' above normal. That big one off shore in the pic is about the height of the 18-story towers...that's near 200'.

What's the relationship of the land to sea level? If the terrain is relatively flat and low, you don't need super high waves to flood that much area.

I saw some vids and none of the waves looked huge. But they sure where pushing in .. That there is what I like to call destruction...

Look at this...

That thing just leveled this entire island... Shocked

There is an entire section of trees gone at the bottom... That just nuts....

A lot of the pictures are fake ones like the guy standing on top of the WTC when the plane hit. It is hard to tell which one is fake and which one is real
