My '93 stinks, inside and out. As soon as I start it, the evil smell of oil and gasoline byproducts fills the car, and every living thing within 50 feet downwind starts to choke.

I can't find anyone who will tell me anything that makes sense! JEEP wants about $1,800 because they insist that I put the wrong tires on it!!!! Do tires have something to do with the exhaust? Did I miss that class?

It's like calling DELL or HP for help with your computer, only find that the person you're speaking with is in India and probably rode to work on a cow! At best, they can only repeat what they've been taught to say.

Have we shipped all of our mechanic jobs to India too???

I will appreciate any assistance!

Well Bub, I can assure you that the person from India that you talk to when you call Dell, AT&T, Barnes & Noble, and any of the thousand companies that have outsourced jobs there did not ride a cow to work. For some reason they think the cow is sacred, I for one like cows and pigs and deer and snakes and..well you get the point...meat tastes good.

As for the Jeep, fook the stealership, if you're having issues of smelly Jeeps sounds like either the manifold, like your post states, or like I'm worrying about right now with my 98 XJ a cracked apart catalytic converter. Does it sound like it's all loose inside, if so it could be blocking the exhaust and backing it up slightly. Hope that helps.

Yup.. Cat will smell like rotten eggs.. Header will make a ticking sound..

I am assuming you have a 4.0.. Since I have never heard of a V8 header failure..

Quadratec and a million other places sell header for the 4.0..

Go to a muffler shop they will check out your cat and header for free and let you know whats wrong..

Also.. That dealership sucks ass.. Find a different Jeep dealership.. I brought my Jeep in for the recall service a while back and had a line of Mechanics and salesmen checking it out.. They love my Jeep.. And I am running 35's... Mr. Green

So unless your tires are so big that they are hitting your cat or header that dealership is a bunch of dingleberrys....
