I am trying to replace the oil pump on my 96 jeep grand cherokee 4wd, the problem is that the book advises to jack the motor up just enough to get the tension out of the motor mounts and then remove the bolts so I can remove the oil pan. I just cant find that sweat spot to remove the bolt. I have gone up and down with the jack and nothing. ANY advise. Man i should of took it to the shop!

I just dropped the muffler instead.. It worked out fine...

I cannot help with the motor mount removal but I bet it would be easier to unbolt from the manifold and drop it down rather than jacking the engine up...
