Anybody know the size of the stupid torx bolt underneath the front bumper on the driver's side? Naturally mine stripped out and I need to replace it. Anybody replaced theirs with a regular bolt and happen to remember what size they used?

If it's the same size as on XJ's, I have 4 of them laying around...not that this helps since you are on the other side of the country. Wink

Thanks for checking. That's what I was using when it stripped out. It's now laying in several mangled pieces wherever I threw it after cutting, sawing, drilling it out last night. I don't think I made that part clear. Mr. Green

I'm wondering if anybody has replaced theirs with a regular bolt and what size bolt they used.

They're the same size as the bolts on top. They're 1/2" but I can never remember if it's coarse or fine thread.

Troy I used 1/2 grade 8 bolts when I put on my tow hooks. I had to get the longer bolt since the shorties wouldn't work. I'm pretty sure it was a half!

I think they are 1/2" 13 thread per inch. Some people call these 1/2" x 20 coarse thread, but they are really 13 tpi.
