Do you have the FSM, or know which wires these are? For a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo.

I do not....
I really don't have any books on ZJ, WJ, and WK. It also depends on which amplified system is in there. I will say this, if you pull the speaker out of your rear doors look at the wires and note what colors they are, then look at the amplifier and find the same wires.... match them up and T-splice into them.

So just so I have this correct, I should be able to splice into the rear two speakers, just match up the colors from the amp, to the color from the speaker, they should match up. But I don't have to pull the stereo and find the wires there, I should just be able to find the wires from the rear two speakers and splice into them, correct?

You got it... The signal behind the radio is a low level signal that won't do you much good, it just goes to the factory amp and gets amped up from there. So - splicing into the wires right at the amplifier is just what that connector from Rockford is for. Make sure you have the wires color matched too, otherwise you will have reversed polarity and the sound will be 180 degrees out of phase. Its not that noticable with subwoofers, but over time it can damage the voice coils of the speakers. Good luck buddy!

Alright, well one more questions, I got my sub and amp installed in my Jeep just fine. Now my friend just bought a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and it has the 10 disk changer and we noticed that there was already a factory installed amp under the back seat. Now before we put his sub and amp in, can we do the same thing, splice the wires and hook it up to the rear speakers or is there something else that we have to do since that amp is already in there? He would like to keep the factory amp in and add the other one, maybe we would have to find the correct wire coming out of the amp and splice those, we're not really sure, so any help would be of great help, and if anyone knows the wiring diagram for that factory amp it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Well I found the wiring diamgram at http://www.wjjeeps.com/radio_systemdiag4.jpg and was just wondering if I could do this now. Take the high level input from my rockford fosgate amp and go to wire 5, 6, 15 and 16 on the C1 connector of the AMP. Does that work, let me know if anyone knows before I try this out.
