nope only did it after been running awhile

and i was driving and it was like it dropped 500 rpms then came back up and it took forever for it to start, and that was the first time it ever took a while to start i had drove it got it warm to normal temp parked it waited about 2 hours then went to leave and it took forever got it started drove it about 10 minutes and then thats when it droped rpms

TPS? throttle postioning sensor?

why would it just die? no cough or sputter or shakes just die like i cut it off?

I would check the AIS sensor (Air Input Sensor) which is right there by the TPS sensor... The AIS recognizes air that is going into the throttle body and if this becomes dirty or shorts out (or whatever it feels like doing at the moment) then the car will only idle if you keep your foot on the gas. It wouldn't hurt to go ahead and replace both sensors at the same time. Unhook the negative cable of the battery with your headlights on - replace the sensors, then hook up your battery (this time with the headlights off) and see if that doesn't make it run 10x better.
Its a good idea to have your headlights on so it draws every bit of voltage out of the computers capacitors and ensures completly dead circuit...

Anyways - Good luck

Yup.. Throttle position sensor.. (I just use autozone part...) Stock is Holley..

It could be a dirty Idle air control valve.. (Back of the Throttle body..)
Pull it off and clean it and the throttle body..

The only other thing I could suggest is check wires for the fuel pump.. They could be loose causeing your problem...

But the Idle up and down that you are describing sounds like TPS...

Let us know..

Carl
