I understand. I have a set of tires and rims just like those stacked in the back of my barn. Now I need to throw a set of 3.07 gears on that same pile of unneeded parts!

congrats on the jeep! Now it's time to get your new tires and take her wheeling. After that you'll be ready for a lift and other goodies!

Nice looking Jeep! I really like the color also. Glad you like it. Like the others have said, there are a million things you can do to a jeep, that is part of the fun of having a jeep. Very Happy

regarding your rims and new tires.

Those rims are not that deep so if you're going to throw bigger tires on (say like 33's) you might want to get a deeper rim to hold a wider tire. I't's not a must though. You should find some 32's or 33's that will fit those rims. If you're new jeep is a comuter also, you may want to go with an AT (all terrain) tire. It's good offroad but has more wear (like 40K).

One other thing - since you have a hard top, I'd save the $ and get a bakini or safari top. You can get those for about $150 vs a $750 full soft top. That money you save can go towards new gears (since you are getting bigger tires) and eventurally a lift and lockers.............time to rock baby!

You forgot a winch, front bumper fog lamps, roll bar fog lamps, 411 rear end, 41/11 transfer case. LOL

I just purchased an alarm system yesterday and had my sat, radio installed with some new polk speakers.

Do you have a link to the bikini tops? I havenít seen them before. For that matter, do you know a good site to get soft tops. I.E. reliable/reputable company.

Bestop

That's about the only brand of soft items I'd recommend. As close to OEM fit/finish that you'll find so everything'll match up nice. I've been running the same duster since '97 with only a minor tear in the one corner *owner error* cough Wink . Good stuff. Good looking TJ too Mr. Green .

Yeah - I think Bestops are the best you can get as far as soft stuff. Although I have both a bakini and safari, I don't really like them that much. The hard top is the best fit. Other then that, no top at all is probably my favorite. Unfortunately, down here in the desert of Phoenix, you'll cook faster then a microwaved egg in the summer with no top.

Ive been on all kinds of trails and If I'm going in the dry lose dirt, I'll leave the hard top on. It's a pain in the rear end getting all the dirt from the inside. It's all over the dash, seats, carpet. No big deal for me but the wife just complains to no end about how I trash our brand new jeep.......hehehe. If i'm going to the rocks, I'll take it off.
