Hello all-

As I climbed beneath the ZJ to change the oil, I noticed the passenger side CV boot was off...

My '98 5.9 is in need of many little things (as evidenced by the pic) and numerous upgrades are planned, but an impending move and financial constraints force me to do the cheapest thing possible to keep her road worthy.

Any suggestions on the CV boot? Can I just replace the boot? How can I make sure the half shaft and/or the CV joint are okay?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm still getting used to the Jeep thang.

Thanks-

Slo

Lots of places sell universal CV boots.. (Pep boys has them...) You can pull the cv.. Pack it with some good marine grade grease and put a new boot on..
For about $30..

The CV's are about $89 each (with $60 core deposit) also at pepboys...

There you have it.. Your 2 options.. Mr. Green
