I have noticed that water is leaking (1/2 pint) from the housing with a little stub that is built into the firewall. Its right under the 2 heater hose connections and is a permnanent tube built into the wall. Does anybody know what this is or where the water is could be coming from.

I bet you've already checked, but is the water hot, or smell like antifreeze? Cause if it does, then it's a safe bet that it's leaking out of the heater hoses. But if it's just rainwater, then lay down on the seat and look under the dash while someone sprays the Jeep with a garden hose, then stop the leak whereever it is.

Sounds like the Drain for the airconditioner evaporator.. It is supposed to leak water it means the air conditioner is removing moisture from the air..

If it stops leaking .......Worry... Mr. Green

swampy's right. mine was dripping plenty of water - but when driving at speed the air would push the water back in and make it run into the jeep. i put a 90* elbow and short section of tubing on it and have it running down around 6"....no more wet floor in the jeep now Smile
