I have a 1987 Cherokee 4.0 automatic.
The tcase was replaced by the previous owner.
It orignaly had a NP242 it now has a NP231, they were never able to hook the shifter back up.
I have changed the old shift handle to the correct one for a np231 but I'm still stuck.
What else do I need?
I think that the arm one the case may be wrong it's p/n 233.
There is also a pivot arm that could also be wrong.
Here are some pictures of where I am at.
Oh and is there a lockout some where on this case?
