I saw a Tj98 Sahara that the owner had covered both front seats and the rear one with this material that looks like imitation leather for $300

It had the same pattern and colors as the cloth seats of the sahara and they even added a Jeep logo on each seat. the owner had this done to water proof his jeep.

Now My question is, is this pretty much the same thing?

Its 3 seat covors for about $190 + S&H , will they waterproof my seats, or its not the same and I should pay the $300 to get my seats covered?

No, those aren't leather. They're neoprene.

It'll handle moisture, but be careful if you leave them out in the sun. If you go to the last page of this, it'll give you an idea on how to care for them.
