I read in a JP magazine article that the heater problem (it only blows hot air on the two highest settings) in pre '02 TJ's is caused by a resistor on the firewall under the glovebox? I looked but couldnt find it and was wondering if anyone else has fixed this problem. thanks

It was about a 5 minute job - not sure where the photos are but here's the part you're looking for (this is the only one I can find right now.) Basically, remove two bolts and unplug the old one. Installation is the reverse. Have a vacuum handy because there's all sorts of crud that finds it's way in there. Wink
