Yeah put it on stands and let it droop. No reason to fight it.

I like to use a wire wheel to clean the surfaces after I razor blade scrape it. Clean metal is the best metal to use RTV on.

I only put the sticky stuff on the diff cover and make certain to circle the bolt holes. On instal I put the top bolt in the cover and start the threads before lining it up and stickin it in place. Put all the bolts in before tightening any of them and then work around to draw it evenly like you do with lug nuts.

I didn't see the need to lay the axles down...just goop up the cover and go. It was MUCH easier this time around (not fighting w/the diff shield AND diff cover at the same time). Now I just have to remember to put the diff shield back on!
