looking for info on how to get rid of the bad smell when my heater is turned on,already tried drilling hole in drain and cleaning that out .

hahaha yea try the air freshner

what kinda smell is it? exhaust smell?

something could be in your heater vents....

It smells musty,tried using shop vac to suck and blow too funny out vents did'nt help.????

If the smell is moldy or mildewy you can spray Lysol or something simular in your air/heat intake. This is the grate located just below your wipers. That will kill the bacteria and take care of the problem.

If it is sweet smelling its probably a heater core.

I had the same awful smell in my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was the heater core leaking. I just had it replaced.
