I have 04 Grand Cherokee 4x2. Just replaced tires with 245/70R16.
I've always noticed the jeep had a crappy ride with stock tires. Seemed I could feel every little bump in the road. I did get a little better since the new tires. BUT I NEED MORE!! I would think ANYTHING is better than stock shocks, so I need everyone's advise on which shock to go with. It's a start! I have 38,000k on jeep. Dealership told me suspension was fine. Not according to me. This year Jeep does not ride like my 01' did. That jeep was SMOOTH, bumps were hardly noticeable. Can I get the 04 to ride smooth?? ride only paved roads. Thanks

was thinking about going with Monroe Reflex, anyone have these?
after reading through other forum responses, I do seem to notice the wobble or pendelum effect when i hit these bumps. What's happening?

What's the air pressure in those tires? Chances are, if you didn't drop it down a bit, the shop put them at 40psi or higher. It makes for an extremely harsh ride as the tires no longer help absorb some of the smaller bumps.

37psi.
had a family member who also owns GC to ride . Said it rode like a tractor. Shimmy and shake. And also said it seemed to "wander" or float around freely. I know Louisiana has bad roads but I shouldn't be feeling those bumps as hard. I brought it in to Jeep dealer and they said everything seemed fine! HHHMMM.
