I have a stock TJ 4cyl. I am thinking about getting a TrueTrac for it. From what I can tell, this model will fit my Jeep. Can anyone verify that for me?

It appears Tractech only makes the TrueTrac for the 3.54 and higher gears in a D35. It is part number Tractech part no. 912A310.

So yes, it looks like you've got the right part.

Now, you do realize this isn't something the average shadetree mechanic can install. The TruTrac is a full case design and will require a complete gear setup to install it. If you'll be using a shop, you may have to get the parts through them. A lot of shops will only work with parts purchased through them.

Oh man that sucks. After I sent my post, I did find someone that knew that this was the correct part, so I bought the item from an individual who got it new and never installed it. So now I have it and am stuck with it. Do you know of any instructions online of how to install it, extra parts required, and tools required so I can see what I got myself into?

Thanks from a formerly excited now concerned Jeeper,
Tim

Doing an R&P setup requires a few special tools as well as a bit of expertise. Unless you have a very clear idea of what you are getting into and what's involved, do not attempt it. In laymans terms, if the gears are not setup to "mesh together" just right, they will eat themselves within a few hundred miles.

Here's a few writeups that will give you an idea of what's involved:
