Hi

I have 4.0 grand cherokee with automatic transmision (100k mls.)

When I shift from N to R or D car jumps and starts to drive. Shouldn't car stay still untill I rev engine more? ? ?

Otherwise it shifts to other gears smoothly without any problem.

Greetins from Europe

Peter

bowdown Thank You

I didn't think of that Embarassed

Idle is relatively high it is 1000 and something, it rare drops belov 1K, and far from 7-800. Is there any screw to adjust that or is it controled completely by computer. Sorry for sily question, but I can't see my car for next couple of days to check this on my own.

I would check the IAC..Take it off and clean it..With throttle body cleaner not carb cleaner..

Maybe go ahead and change the TPS ..YOu really cant adjust the timing or idle on these damn things.. Its all computer controlled.. But what you can do is clean the throttle body and change the plugs then unhook the battery cable and turn on the key.. This will drain the computer back up battery in about 5 or 10 minutes.. Then reattach the battery cable and give it a shot.. See what happens..

Just for the hell of it.. I use Sea Foam about once a year..
