I have installed all new calipar, rotor, and pads. About two weeks after i installed everything i started to get a little vibration and grinding from the driverside brake. So i jump under the jeep only to find out both of the calipar bolts had fallen out. So i bought two new ones and put them in. Seemed to have solved the problem. Then a week later it started again but on the passanger side. This time only the top bolt was missing, but the bottom bolt was very loose. So i fixed that. Now i have a problem of how much do i tighten them. the bolt goes all the way throug and presses on the brake pad. So if i tighten them to much the pad gets pushed into the rotor, wich makes the rotor and pad get very hot. Can anyone help me. are these the wrong bolts, are they not supposed to hit the pad, or maby the wrong calipar. Any help would be great. Thank you. By the way it is a 1995 cherokee, inline 6, 4wheel drive.

The bolts should not be long enough to push on the pads. These bolts need to be torqued pretty well and loc-tite on the threads is also a good idea. Did you replace the bolts originally and if so where did you get the new ones? Sounds like you replaced them with some that are too long. I would think if the caliper was wrong that it wouldn't fit but I always match up the parts before I leave the store, I've had to make to many return trips.
