I've never been a big fan of flatfendering my TJ.....at least the lowbuck option of sawsalling the existing fender and running it that way. I saw awhile back that PSC offered a tube flatfender replacement kit that looked real nice, but would no way in hell pass anything remotely linked to the PA state inspections...

Then I saw these...

They're making them now with a "flare" attached to them and supposed to be the same width as the factory setup. This, I like . Still wonder how much of a PITA it'd be at inspection time though. Anyone else have any leads on "street legal" kits?

I still don't think those are wide enough to pass the friendly PA inspection we've gotta go through, unless you've got a buddy at an inspection shop.

My tires just stick out from the Sport flares, and I'm running 10.5" wide tires with 4.5" backspacing. I don't believe these fenders would be wide enough. They should make them a little wider...like 1" wider than the Sahara flares.

Yeah, I was thinking the extra inch would work much better. When I take off the spacers (shhhh Wink ), my 12.50's are covered by the Sahara flares. Guess I should try making some buddies eyebrows ............with my people skills, this could be a task Laugh .

I know that wanting to Flattie your Jeep is not a good enough reason to move, but I enjoy living in a state that inspections are not required. In GA the only inspection run is emissions, and that's only in the metro counties. Up here in the hick counties pretty much if it starts, you can drive it. Maybe inspecting a vehicle gets you lower insurance or something, but I'm glad that I don't have to worry about tires, fenders, lift, bumpers, mirrors, windshield, etc...

Another flattie option. And a helluva lot cheaper than PSC too.

Yeah, those are nice because they'll relocate the side markers to the front......but they don't have any provisions for flarelike extensions Confused .
