I am new to this and need to know about removing the engine and not the transmission. How are they connected and is this possible?

what trans...

If it is a 5spf, just unbolt all the bolts holding it together and pluck it out.

If its an auto, you need to unbolt all the bolts hoding it together, and the torque converter bolts as well.

oh yeh AND unhook every wire and hose lable them all so you know where they go and take the fan off, prob want to pull the rad,

Get yourself a manual they tell you have to do it step by step

Use impact wrench with a long socket extension to reach over the skid plate to get a good angle on the bell housing bolts. Offset wrenchs from the top with alot of umph might be the only way to get at the top ones. Take lots of digital pics and put all the nuts and bolts into separate labled zip lock bags. Just wondering, what happened to the old engine and are you replaceing it with a new or used one? Good luck and happy wrenching!
