I just bought a 1998 4.0 Classic and man I have to say what a different world from a TJ. I've owned and modded the heck out of mine for the last 6years, however the long wheelbase ride of the Cherokee is night and day. You would of thought I was riding in a Jeep limo.

I was reading through the posts and I've come to the conclusion that I don't know squat. =)

My first gut thought was to pull the stock wheels off and slap 31's on and realized from the Lift/Tire thread I would of wasted my time becasue what would fit on a TJ easily isn't going to even cpome close on a XJ. Oooopsie.

Anyways if I post a stupid question, point and laugh then set me straight.

However....we'll give you answers whether you want em or not. Could be right, could be wrong, but we'll all have a laugh.

Yo Kizer, welcome to the real world of Jeeps...finally you saw the light. rofl

30's fit stock with light rubbing on the LCA's. Throw some washers on the steering stops (State Law dependant).

Thanks guys.

First wrenching I did was to adjust the headlights. Of course I mis read the instructions and adjusted the beams on low when they should of been on high. Must be an XJ thing.

You know 25 feet to a flat wall measure up 5 feet and find the center of each headlight and mark them on the wall.

Sure enough I go for a night drive and my low beams are blinding erverybody and hell my brights are lighting tree tops up. I guess I missed the line that says to adjust 5-feet off the floor for high beams. Woooohoooooo.

More stupid humor to come.

Well Im not exactly a new member, but a new XJ owner. Just like any board you can and will get rubbed the wrong way by a members post. It sucks and often it can leave a bad taste. When in doubt PM a mod or Admin and the "Smacketh will be layeth down"

As well welcome aboard and thanks for the words of encouragement.
