My cherokee seems to be stuck on defrost. i can't put the heat to the floor or to the vents, which with the cold weather my feet never get warm. does anyone know how to fix this or even get it to at least change to defrost and floor....i beleave the switch works because if i turn it to off it will stop.....please help...thanks

Check the blend door vacum line.. It is very thin line that runs into the fire wall on the outside... (its a hard plastic line very prone to breaking...)

When that line breaks it wont allow the blend door to open making everything blow thru the windshield vents..

That should fix you...

I can go and get a pic of mine if you need it..

WOW......thanks a lot...its fixed.....the line was off on the engine block side......man my feet and i both thank u a lot !!!!!!!

You may want to put a tiny cable tie on the vacuum hose where it connects to the engine, I know mine kept falling off every few hundred miles
