Lowrider, I got lost in the other posts and I don't think your question was answered. The change on the intakes is a temperature sensor in he intake tube ahead of the throttle body. My 04 didn't have it and the 05's and 06's do. The K&N FIPK for the 06 has instructions to drill a 3/4 hole to accept the sensor.

Wow, someone answered the question on this type of post. Good for you!!!
I get a kick out of the guys that think their opinion is the "Majority". Good luck in your attempt to squeeze all you can get out of an engine. I also get a kick out of guys who think that something made by a large american company like DC could ever possibly be improved upon, surely to god if they could have had more horsepower or 4 wheel capability they would have done it. Who needs quadratech!! Pass your finding to the group, let the individual be the judge. Please dont get me wrong, Jeep is the most capable biuld off the line, stock. But there still lots to be done. They were probably on, but isnt it kind of silly to have to make sure you turn the vents to OFF everytime you get out of the car?

Answer: Do you want to keep your interior dry?

Just because we expect a jeep to be a rough vehicle or what? Thats the way the company decieded it should be i guess!!! put up with it, its a jeep!!( please note the sarcasm). What drew me to this forum was the help most of us enjoy passing on to other jeepers, hope it dont end.

A rant by a canuck
