I bought a clinometer with a small light in it. I'm wanting to wire it up to come on with the headlights/parking lights. I figure I can piggyback onto a wire in the headlight switch, but which one? I want it to come on when I turn the parking lights on. If I read my haynes manual right its black and yellow, thought maybe somebody had done this before? Its a 98 TJ. Thanks.

Get a circuit tester and start checking.

Yeah, that's what I did. Just so you know. Blakc and Yellow wire has power when the switch is pulled out to first position and second position. Then there is a pinkish color wire that will dim with the switch, thats what I used. Just got it done, looks pretty good. I put it up at the top of the windshield where that loop is. Oh, another note, the windshield frame is grounded pretty well, in case ya'll were wondering.
