Definitely check for any fluid leaks
i.e. - oil, transmission, differentials
also look over the engine....I'd say check the radiator too.
Those are the basic things that I can think of...

If you can listen to it run, see if the engine makes any horrific noise, to be able to see it driven would be great but im not sure if you can do that at an auction, check valve covers if they have hellacious oil coating the block around them could be a problem...if its possible bring a friend that knows a lot about cars....that is if you dont know much yourself...not saying you dumb or anything _________________ 96 Cherokee 7.5 inch TnT long arm Locked F/R, D44 rear, 4.56s, 35x12.50 Muds/36x12.50 TSLs

It better be really cheap to make me think about buying it with that kind of mileage. _________________ 04 Unlimited |

One of the biggest headakes any vehicle can have is electrical. IF allowed always look under the hood. Look for any "ghetto" mods on the wiring. Look for loose wires, excess black tape and hardware store type el cheapo wire connectors, spliters etc, evidence of hacked electrical. Look at and under the dash for the same.
Then look for severe fluid leaks and/or poor overall care. _________________
